Organising a show means contacting artists from all over Europe in order to invite them to perform. This are professional jugglers who I needed to convince to come for only refund of travel expenses. In total I contacted around 40 professional jugglers of which in the end 10 performed. In your show you want to have a nice balance between certain props and disciplines. My show had 8 different Nationalities the Netherlands, Belgian, France, Germany, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland and Austria. Dozens of emails have been send between each artist concerning traveling, contracts and a place to sleep. In the end I convinced every one of them to come for only refund of travel expenses to perform in the Gala show. We also have an open stage of which I was in charge. I had a premier from the best diabolist in the world Robin Spinelli. He is 21 years old and famous around the world but he never performed in his life. At the open stage he was the last act and his performance was rewarded with a standing ovation. I’m so glad that I could convince him to perform and I curious to see what he will do in the future.
