Research
At the High Tech Campus in Eindhoven I helped with a research report about visualisation of the jugglers brain. As a participant and co-author I helped this research with different experiments. They wanted to see if they could combine art and science and had developed a wireless EEG system. This meant that during the performance, the audience would be able to see hard a trick is for the juggler. The researchers where very excited about the ideas and suggestions that I proposed. I told them about the experience I got when I juggled and elements I noticed myself what would be interesting to research.
The experiment consisted of comparing an expert jugglers brain (me) to a beginner jugglers brain. I had to juggle 5 different phase. One was just juggling, thinking of juggling and moving my arms, thinking of juggling without movement, movement without thinking of juggling and rest. These different phases they could compare using the EEG system and later researched to see the difference. The findings you can find in the research paper that is downloadable here below.
We are still waiting if the paper will be accepted as a publication.
