- Working with people with different backgrounds
- Even the most crazy ideas are valuable
- Kill your darlings
In overall I think we made a very interesting process. We went from an inflatable McDonald’s entrance, to a fat measuring handle for shopping carts but still remain the same basic concept. I think we came this concept because we weren’t afraid to "kill our darlings" and moved on to new concepts with the knowledge of the older concepts. It was interesting to work with students from different faculties. At first they weren't used to the ID way of thinking which is being open for crazy unrealistic concepts. But when they opened up after a coach meeting they came with awesome concepts. I think that because we were open for creative unrealistic concepts, made it possible for us to come to a good realistic concept. Although I hoped that my team members would do more on unfamiliar territories, it still think we had a nice task division within the group. I now know how I can make engineers comfortable with the design way of thinking, being on the same level of thinking. I can use this is future project together with "non-ID’ers".
